Camping Fees Camping fees at Southworth Memorial, Veterans Memorial, and Waldo Carlson:
The daily rate for sites with electricity is $30 per day. The daily rate for tent only sites (no electricity) is $20 per day. The 30-day rate for Monthly sites is $600. |
Importation of Firewood Barron County and the City of Cumberland have banned the importation of firewood from outside of the county. Wood for campfires can be purchased from campground caretakers or local firewood outlets. (You must have a receipt!) |
Boat Launch Fee Waldo Carlson Park (Red Cedar Lake) and Veteran Memorial Park (Prairie Lake) have a $5.00 daily or a $20.00 seasonal boat launch fee. Boat launch permits can be purchased at the parks from the park caretakers. Seasonal permits can be purchased on this site by choosing PERMITS on the navigation menu on the left. Please present proof of purchase to the park caretaker at either Waldo Carlson Park or Veterans Memorial Park between May 1st and September 30th to receive your numbered sticker. The numbered sticker entitles the purchaser to unlimited in-and-out boat launch privileges at both Veterans Memorial and Waldo Carlson Parks during the 2024 boating season. |
Cancellations/Changes to Reservations Reservations can be cancelled through the Treasurer’s Office. Reservations cancelled 30 days prior to the planned occupancy date are eligible for a refund. Reservation fees and electronic payment fees are non-refundable. Reservation changes will only be allowed if the camping reservation in question is more than 14 days out. To request a change of date, site or campground call the Caretaker or the Treasurer’s office. Reservations cancelled less than 14 days prior are not eligible for a refund or change. The camper will have to take it as is, cancel or make any changes as a drive-in when they arrive. If a campsite remains unoccupied by 3:00 pm on the following day it can be opened for drive-ins. |

Reservation Instructions
- On-line reservations require the use of a credit card. The cardholder name and address must match the name and address used when setting up your Barron County Parks Reservations account. Both the camping fees and reservation fees are charged to the credit card immediately upon making a reservation.
- Advance Booking: Reservations may be made up to 12 months in advance. Reservations must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to the planned stay. No reservation is confirmed until full payment of reservation fees and site fees has been made. Inside of 7 days, all unreserved sites are treated as first-come, first-serve & pay as you go at the campground office.
- Reservation Fee: A non-refundable fee of $5.00 per reservation/per site is charged to your credit card immediately upon making a reservation.
- Maximum Stay: 14 nights, after which the camping unit and camping party must move to a different site or vacate the park. Some sites are available for monthly rental.
- Reservation Limitations: No limit on the number of reservations to be made by any one individual, except that the maximum length of stay on one site must be observed.
